The Fox Valley Astronomical Society

Our club consists of members from Batavia, Elburn, Geneva, St. Charles and the surrounding communities and is committed to providing "out of this world" celestial experiences for adults and youngsters of all ages.  The night sky is filled with many treasures including our planets, star clusters, nebulas, and numerous constellations.  There has never been a better time to explore the delectable sites of our universe.  Why not get started today by attending one of our club meetings or a public star party?

Our club is proud to sponsor a free monthly public star party at the Peck Farm Park in Geneva, Illinois. On the dates and times specified below, our members host a short optional presentation in the meeting barn, then set-up their telescopes in the parking lot for public viewing. Get a tour of the planets and galaxy from our friendly members in the Peck Farm parking lot. Our star parties provide a personalized experience and our members are always glad to answer questions. Don't forget to bring your friends and family!  If the weather doesn't cooperate for the scheduled evening, there will be a bonus presentation.

Club Meetings

The public is welcome to attend our monthly club meetings on the second Monday of each month.   Each meeting usually has a discussion topic, information on upcoming club star parties, followed by casual conversation.
